Days of Our Kitties: The Elder One Speaks
Huh? Wha? *flails* When did Thea learn to talk??!??? She's thirteen years old, and some time around last year she started to actually meow? She always used to just trill or do a high squeaky "Meeeeeeeeeeee?" Yesterday as I was making lunch she was there by my feet, uttering several thin, scratchy "Meeeerrrrrwww" in a row. I was boggled. @_@ Still no comparison to Molly's general chattiness, T.K.'s bold "MerGGAAOOWW", or Cinnamon's marathon mew, but it's just weird. @_@
T.K. and Molly had a breakthrough this morning where they actually sniffed nose to nose without immediate hissing or growling, but then T.K. began to pull back with ears flat. I distracted them before anything else could happen.
In other news, around 9:00 last night I climbed into bed with a stack of old fanfic to start reading before I went to sleep. Key word: start. When I next looked at the clock, it was almost 2:30. @_@ Yet I still woke up early today. :P I see an afternoon nap in my future...
