Revelations
It felt so weird taking only one cat to the vet today. So used to taking two or more at once here. While I did have to shove her chubby butt into the carrier, Thea didn't make any noise during the car ride, merely looked out the window. If it was T.K. he would have yowled his head off the entire way. Had a blanket in the carrier and a towel over it to block out the cold.
The good news is it isn't arthritis or even painful, and is fairly common in cats, and is also something Thea's had all her life, it's just showing more because of her age. (Although this explains why she's been a lazy lump all her life. XD ) Her kneecaps don't fit the groove of her leg bone as is the usual, but it just means she's a little wobbily getting around. But it's why she hasn't been jumping up on things as often as she used to -- she'll look up at the radiator like she wants to get up there but most of the time won't because she's aware her legs are wobbily (also the reason why she fell off that one time). So the stairs for the couch were a good move, perhaps we'll invest in another one so she can get on the radiator. We have some vitamins to give her that will help. Now it's just a matter of making sure she eats most of the food with the vitamins in it before she, T.K., and Cinnamon play food bowl shuffle. Because as we all know, even though it's all the same food, it tastes better if it's in someone else's bowl. ;)
Happiness is browsing the clearance winter coats for the heck of it and trying on one that makes you realize just how horribly your old one fits, and deciding to replace said one you've had for over a decade. And getting the new one at less than a quarter of the original price.
Lastly, I have an idea for a second book. A SECOND BOOK. I haven't gotten past chapter two of the first one after six years of trying. So now I have a good reason to get from that struggling chapter to the end. I think it's time to stop "trying" and time to DO. I know it's been turned into a cliche idea in the years since I started on it, but y'know what? I'm out to write a good story.
