I'm trying to prepare myself for a typing test i'm taking at 11am. I have to try and go for 45-50 words per minute in order to reach my goal. Once i get a typing certificate (assuming i'll pass, i really have no clue how i type), i'll be able to copy and mail it to the Sacramento Fire Department dispatcher unit. facebook has a thing that tests your typing speed for you. Then they also have a game you can play against other ppl and the faster you type the faster your car goes in the race. haha! I was playing that earlier and trying to earn enough "money" from the races to buy a ferrari, so you can try that to practice with if you want.

Haha! That's AWESOME! I wish i had read your comment earlier, i would've checked it out. I ended up being so nervous that i only scored a 52 WPM, wish i had scored higher. But fuck it, i got the damn certificate and qualify to apply for dispatch! Wheee!

Congrats on passing! I hope you get the job =) Just out of curiosity, where do you test to get a typing certificate? What sort of places do that? I'm just curious...and it could come in handy someday...

Thankies Emily. i'm keeping my fingers crossed =) Let's see, i think the way i found the place was on google. I typed in San Jose or Santa Clara typing certificate or something like that, pretty sure each city should have at least one building that you can test at.The list i got was at this link: http://santaclaraca.gov/pdf/collateral/40109-TypingCertification.pdf. I ended up going to the Westaff one, they were really nice =)
