My new task for the week.....

Righty, i'm just about to embark on the task of building an enclosure for my Iggy.
The loverly people at www.worldwidesnakes.com have kindly supplied me with plans for a small fee.
So far i have had the interesting task of purchasing said materials - as advised in the plan - from B&Q.
Largest hurdle, was not the task of finding a piece of wood 4ft x 6ft, but attaching it to the car in an effort to transport it home.
The transport bit took two trips over two days....umm yes, the rest of the bits of wood fit into my car the first time round - with the roof down all the way home at 9pm. BLOODY FREEZING.
That specific piece of wood required the other half's car to assist. i.e a hard top, (which would not collapse and crush us whilst we drive home) to strap it to.

anywoo, it's now cluttering up the dining room and i now have to decide if i am to paint it first (or what colour!), or begin the assembly process which is likely to involve damaged digits, arguments with inanimate objects, holes in wrong places...and probably thretening the iguana with a shoebox as a home instead.

Problem, for those who have been to the house, the room where iggy resides has a bend in the hallway. i can see there being significant issues in transporting said finished article into such room, so i might have to build it in there. The problem with this, is that i will have to paint it before assembly (painting in a small room with carpets and soft furnishings is bad, especially since its the cat's fave room with no catch on the door to stop them entereing) which means i will need to paint all the sides just in case, although i may have to touch up once built.

Mr Iggy is just as moody as my hedgehog, so it isn't likely that he will appreciate the effort put into this monstrocity, or the cost of the materials.
In fact, i bet i get bit as i am transporting him accross into his little paradise or he dies the day it's finished - the little bar-stuard.

Ho hum, best get started then, must go find the jig saw.
