I really do appreciate the offer, but it's not workable for me for several reasons, not least of which is the fact that I literally cannot afford to move: my car isn't driveable (needs a battery and insurance) and I just don't have the money to pack up shop - what bit money I have been making lately (odd jobs for friends/family) has all been going towards necessities (toiletries, new socks) or into my latest interest, gardening (trees!). And as much as I love my cats, I would never inflict them on someone else, even another cat person, simply because animals' temperaments are just so different and what is no big deal to me might drive someone else absolutely mad (Boo will eat anything you leave out on the table. Anything. She will rip open plastic bags, even).
And, truthfully, I'm not that easy to live with. I have my own ways of doing things (I lock doors. All the time. I just feel...better, that way) and I just wouldn't want to run the risk of creating conflict where there shouldn't be any, you know?
In any case, I've come to a sort of weird acceptance that this is where I'm at, and I'm going to do the best I can to make it livable, inasmuch as I can and my resources permit. It's not what I would have chosen, but it's...okay, or will be, hopefully.
