I must be gaining paranormal powers or something, because I had an urge to buy a liter of Mountain Dew before the start of this past weekend.
Sure enough, the very next day I got whapped with a migraine. So that Dew came in handy (yay caffeine).
*ponders how to use this power for evil good.*
The muses had fun though, and bless their hearts, kept me entertained as usual with a new alterna-verse. Ginji has discovered why he has been forever banned (by Ban) from dating, after having gone out with a cute, sexy dark-haired purple-eyed girl whose sense of humor is much the same as his own...
...and whom he had NO clue was Akabane's baby sister. XD
Needless to say, Big Brother is NOT amused. >:)
Akabane gets his in, though: he and Himiko were going at it like the proverbial plot bunnies, while Akabane's younger twin brothers Sebastian (Rollo, to friends) and Tobias (Toby) introduce Ban to new alcoholic brews even HE'S not used to. (Also, Rollo and Toby have a thing for...pyrotechnics. Most boys go through a setting-everything-on-fire stage; these two just never grew out of it. XD )
Then there's Matthias, the eldest of the Akabane bunch. There's only about 2 years' age difference between him and Akabane, so they get along pretty well, though Akabane resents the elder's insinuation that it's time for him to settle down and have some little Akabanes. Not necessarily because he doesn't want to, but because he just doesn't like being told what to do. (Matthias is bossy that way.) Even more awkward, Matthias thinks Himiko is perfect wife material and keeps not-so-subtly hinting at this to both of them, which puts poor Akabane and Himiko even more on edge. (Yay sexual tension lol)
But it all ends up okay, especially since Shido and Madoka have the classic big wedding, which promptly turns into a triple circus once Akabane and Himiko come around, and Akabane pretty much tells Ginji it's either a scalpel-wedding (traditionally, it would be shotgun, but you work with what you've got, y'know?) or sudden death...and we ain't talkin' no hockey shots. XD (Fortunately for all, Ginji and Julie - the sister - are madly in love anyway so Ginji has no problem with this...although during the vows, he does keep glancing nervously over at his new transporter-in-law who keeps glaring FIERY STABBITY DEATH at him and making slashing motions across his throat.)
