Of fangs and bloody hurricanes!
I'm sitting here with what feels like a fat lip and is slightly lopsided when I move my lower mouth from the numbing agent I had injected earlier at the dentist's.
BUT.
THE FANG STAYS!! \o/ *happy seat-dance of joy* \o/
Even better: this new dentist kicks ass. He was very nice and reassuring. Not only did it not gouge the pocketbook - $123.30, cheapest freakin' dental visit I can ever remember; it even included the x-ray! - but this guy was good and fast at what he did. I think it took longer to sit in the waiting area than it did for him to fill the sucker. Bonus: without my asking, he took the little drill-instrument-thingamajigger and polished off a few stains I had on my front lower bottom teeth, so they look all nice and shiny now. And I'll be going back in a few weeks to have a regular cleaning (my first in God only knows how long) done, since I figure the cost for that likely isn't going to be too bad either. (And it will give me a better picture of what I could be looking at down the road as far as future dental crap goes...)
Dentist is also nice eye candy, but according to the brochure, he is married with kids. Ah well, all things considered, I'd much rather have the tooth, the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth. ;)
In short: I am VERY happy and relieved right now. Yay for shiny new dentist!
