Officially burned out.
My workplace can suck a nice fat one as far as I'm concerned. Bastards scheduled me THE ENTIRE FUCKING WEEK my parents are down here, save for one day I managed to get off (Monday), and they couldn't find it in them to give me one more extra day (Thursday) so I could at least have one more full day with my folks. I'd have traded it for my Friday, which I DO have off, but surprise, that's when my folks are leaving, in the early morning. (Folks can't stay the extra day because it's at least 2 days' drive back and they're going to be tired as hell. Mom goes back to work Monday, too.)
Fucking bullshit workplace politics. It's OK for them to go fuck off, but god forbid I get any time to spend with my family. It's not like my folks have the time and money to make a lot of repeat trips back and forth here. (And needless to say neither do I.)
