After being horribly disappointed by the Thursday night show I actually watched in real time, I was slightly hesitant to queue up Swingtown on the DVR.

Very quickly, that hesitation turned to elation. This show could be really good.

I won’t say I had high hopes for NBC’s Fear Itself, but I did have moderate ones. And still, I’m disappointed.

Fan-freakin-tastic.

Seriously. Pretty much everything I had wanted it to be, more than I expected it to be, and very short on things I could take issue with (and those few things are all opinion and long-term plot related).

And if you see it, for the love of all that's holy, stay until after the credits!

The boss got the idea yesterday for another company trip to the movies. That would be a trip to the movies by all three of us in the company, not a full company sponsored, "here's your free ticket" type outing.

We bounced down the street to the Dupont Circle AMC theater and caught a matinée of Knocked Up.

Loved it.

Chalk up another score for remakes. The new version of The Amityville Horror (with Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George) is much better than the original.

Last night I was finally coherent enough to catch an airing of SyrianaIt is a very good thing I didn't try to watch it while not able to focus due to the recent cold. This is one dense movie.
