Almost there...
Halloween party at a friend's place tonight (instead of the one I was going to throw which was canceled a couple of weeks ago).
My costume is about 95% done (and only about 75% of what I'd want it to be like if time, money and skills weren't hindering factors). It's another sci-fi flavored one, this time around not the post apocalyptic type that's in the above icon. More of a classic, 50s retro-ish, movie-serial Flash Gordon type. Kind of.
Looking at it mostly put together, with just a tweak or two, it could be a very contemporary sci-fi style. (Actually, with the way I've modified the "ray gun" so far, it's looking more Farscape than anything else... guess we clearly know where my tastes and influences are, eh?)
Not quite done painting the gun yet. And I really could use some other accessories to really make the costume work. But, what I have will have to do for tonight's party.
At Spooky next week, though, I'm hoping to have a couple more things done.
Oh, yeah, and everyone will be totally shocked and amazed at one part of the costume. (Or, at least, befuddled and confused.) It'll be by far the most different thing I've ever done for a costume. :)
