So far, so good... mostly...
Party with phir and company was fun last night.
I always love to see what my friends are in to--be it work-wise or home-wise. Last night I got to see a bit of both. And, to top it all off, got to meet new people, too.
All in all, a great night.
(And a special thanks to blimpcaptain and entropicalia for getting me out there... and to Charlotte and jukebox_heroine for getting me back to the metro after the shindig.) :)
Of course, I was also expecting all the work on my apartment to be done. Got home and found that wasn't quite the case. Good news is, they actually had done more work, so I'm not too bent out of shape. (Though I'm really not sure what they think they're doing with the bathroom ceiling... it looks distinctly wrong.) If it's not done Monday, then I'll have some issues...
A little more "fun," since my kitchen has been in disarray for a while now, I've been stashing dishes in the dishwasher (which I normally just use as a drying rack). Seeing as how it now contained just about all of my dishes and was more full that it's been ever, I thought, "Hey! I'll just run it for the first time in almost three years!"
Yeah... now I've been reminded why I never did that before. It still doesn't drain right. I've been jumping up ever time it switches to a "Drain" cycle to re-direct the water that comes shooting out of places it shouldn't in the sink. :\
*sigh* Next weekend, if all goes well, I'll get myself a new place.
Then I'll get to have a housewarming party. :)
(And, uh, a moving party, too.) ;)
Tonight is atlantis_dc where I'm sure I'll see a handful of people from last night and a good bunch of the rest of the people I only see once a week. I think I'm even dragging fractalwoman out with me. Haven't seen her in a while, either.
It should thoroughly rock.
