The Pendulum Swings Both Ways

Right. Forget that sometimes.

I'm still going to blame the zombies. They not only killed my Foreman grill (which should be fixable with some Super Glue and fiddling) but stole my Internets.

When I left for work yesterday, there was but one lonely light blinking on my cable modem. When I came home yesterday, it was still the only light lit.

I called Comcast (took two tries to get through to tech support) and told them "My Internet connection isn't working."

About ten minutes and (yet another) reset later, the support guy helpfully told me "Your Internet connection isn't working."

Yeah. Thanks for clearing that up, buddy.

This was an ongoing problem a month or so ago. At least once a week the connection would drop out for a few hours at a time. Sometimes longer. I'm betting it has to do with bad wiring in the building. I'm already on my third cable modem in as many years. All I know for sure it that it's not my fault--it was working when I went to bed and not working when I got up.

Everything else was working fine. I kicked on the On Demand and watched another couple episode of The Sopranos, which brought me almost completely up to date. I saw I still had time and decided I may as well catch the series finale, too.

And that's when the On Demand decided to stop working.

So now a hunk of my Saturday is going to be taken up waiting for the cable guy.

Also, no Internet connection at home until Saturday means if you want me, call me.

And the week started off so good... stupid zombies... ;)

internet, apartment, comcast
