I'm such a freak...
So with the TV schedule what it is this month, there's not much I normally watch on before Lost shows up on the schedule tonight.
That means I get to watch things that I normally don't have the chance to catch.
So tonight I caught Bones. I like the way that show has grown.
Now I'm watching a show called Most Evil on the Discovery Times channel. It's about serial killers.
Have I ever mentioned that I've always had an interest in serial killers. They fascinate me. I could watch things about serial killers for days and not be bored. The way their minds work (or don't) is simply amazing. The best are the ones that have never been caught, like the original Zodiac killer or Jack the Ripper. Next on the list are those that seem completely different before they commit their murders and then return to that state after the murders are done--the ones that can't believe they were capable of what they obviously did, the ones that beg to be killed because they know how wrong what they did was.
Right now on the show they're talking to Arthur Sawcross. At first, the name rang a bell, but I couldn't quite remember why.
Then they mentioned a little more and it all came into focus. He did all his killing up in Rochester, NY, where I went to college. After he was caught in the early 90s, he was incarcerated in the big prison near my home town. The same prison that The Son of Sam killer, David Berkowitz is held.
I swear, there's strangeness everywhere I end up. :)
It's a good thing I wasn't a more aggressive young'un. I so would have been at that prison waiting to talk to these people.
