This past weekend and beyond...
After friday night's party at ilvandram's place, I was all ready for my Saturday shindigs.
Saturday started out with a great get-together at fractalwoman's place. Saw a lot of people, some of whom I haven't seen since the beginning of the year. That was good and I stayed a bit longer than I had originally planned. (Kinda thought that would happen...) :)
From there, pakgwei and I followed papercuppie down to her place in Virgina where we all piled into ford_prefect42's car and made the jaunt into DC to hit Chiaroscuro (a lot later than I had planned on).
Chiaro was even more entertaining than usual, mostly thanks to the plethora of creative costumes. And now that I've seen pictures from before I got there, I wish I really had been able to be in two places at once! I don't know what I'm going to do when that place goes away (all the good places always do)... I'm sure something will come up. :)
Sunday brought people out to my place for a more low-key and spiritual celebration of the season. It's been years since I've done anything quite like that and it was good to get back into the flow of the deeper meaning of the season. enlightened77, mreraser, underfiend and laurieannhaus--all y'all are welcome back any time. I've got some ideas of other things you may find interesting.
No kids showed up at my door on Monday. I have a bunch of chocolate left. Anyone who comes over gets some. Be quick about it. Otherwise I'm gonna eat all of it.
Now we're into NaNoWriMo. I should probably decide on a plot... or at least a setting... or... something...
Oh, yeah, and I've still got pictures to process, caption and upload. (Would have been done last night but I was having an absolutely fabulous and fascinating conversation with web_tigger until the wee hours of the morning.
