*just went through the Wikipedia community and became ashamed at how little she really knows about pokémon* And I thought I was an expert! Silly me. *also now regrets not playing Fire Red/Leaf Green* My GOD, there was a Pokémon musical. *snicker* Singing Giovanni. *bursts out laughing*
On another note, it's interesting that you should bring up the thing about Gary's ten badges. Most of The Masterfiles takes place in cities that appear in the cannon, but I did make up a couple, and Emma wins one badge from a gym that doesn't appear in the game.
But, um... *cough* You forgot to mention Lavendar Town in the list of game cities that don't have a gym.
Little tip: if you're going to make up cities in Johto, be sure to name them after plants.
*KICKS FIREFOX.* REFHDF DELETE MY POST, WILL YOU!? DELETE THIS! *strangle*
No, but I looked up on it and a lot of sources said that Gary thought Cinnabar was just a vacation spot. Of course, that's just a speculation. He could have went there, saw that it wasn't, defeated the gym leader. After all, he does take over the gym later on in the games. Even when he becomes a researcher in the anime, he ends up staying at Cinnabar. He revives fossilized Pokemon - sound familliar? Did I mention Gary looked hawt in a lab coat?
Oh, right, Lavendar! I loved Lavendar Town, although I was kind of scared of it at the same time. I mix it up with Saffron a lot because it really only exists in the game so that you have a change at beating Sabrina, harhar.
It'd be so cool to watch Pokemon Chronicles. I've always wanted to see what happened to Charizard and Richie and Gary (*drool*).
Also, when the main theme song for the television show is sung in English, the lyrics "gotta catch em all" are alleged to say "I love Satan" or "oh Satan" when played

*d'oh* That's right! I remember the "Vacation Spot" comment now!
Isn't it Viridian gym he takes over in G/S? And Cinnabar Island is destroyed, and Blaine moves his gym to the Seafoam Islands.
Now I'm almost regretting that I didn't stick with the anime instead of giving up on it when the Orange Island saga started. Must be a sign that I've forgotten how bad it was.
What I haven't forgotten is the Team Rocket motto. I don't think I ever will. It always puzzled me because it sounded more like a super hero slogan than something the bad guys would say (well, except for that weird bit about "denounce the evils of truth and love"). I remember thinking that the Cassidy/Butch version made way more sense. What happened to those two, anyway? They were so awesome and evil. Well, Cassidy was. Butch... like... didn't actually talk.
Gary becomes a researcher, huh? Haha, he is so suffering from "Famous Grandfather's Shadow" syndrome. Poor guy. Do you know if he won the Pokémon League Championships
( ... )
I'm just trying very, very hard not to fall pray to the same urge. Or to pull a you and read all of the episode synopses. You see, a large part of my personality is that I have a burning desire to know everything about everything (part of the reason I got so into pokémon in the first place) and you, my dear, have set it off.
Aww, but pulling a me is NOT fun. I was just way too bored. But if you want the cities and their descriptions from my list, I'd be more than happy to give them to you.
I have a desire for perfection. Not that I ever reach it or become even CLOSE, but yeah. I'm pretty confident about doing my comic, so if I ever get any readers (especially avid ones), I wouldn't want them to go all, "RAWR that makes no sense".
What would suck is if, later, I decide not to do it. Hurhur.
