Why I'm posting in my blog at 8:30.
I had planned to sleep in today, as I am not going to have many more opportunities to do so, what with my 8:00 Civil Procedure class. However, a bird of some sort had other plans for me, which included perching in a tree somewhere near my window and going "Caw, caw," really loudly every time I was about to drift back off to sleep. I managed to nod off again, but then woke up and went to the bathroom. On the way back I looked at the clock and it was 7:52. That's right. I didn't even manage to sleep until 8:00. I tried to go back to sleep, but it just didn't happen, so now I'm having a nice cup of coffee and writing in my blog. Sigh,
Michigan is... damp. That's the foremost descriptor that I would use if someone said to me, "How's Ann Arbor?" Damp. It has been raining off and on since I got here, and when it's not actually raining, it is misty and humid enough that when my windows are open, the damp air comes in and I find that my sheets, towels, and other belonging are slightly damp to the touch. It is nice and cool here though, which is a welcome change from what St. Louis was. I believe it didn't get up to 70 yesterday.
Joanne, another of my roommates got into town yesterday. She also seems very cool and nice. Only one more roommate to meet, and as long as she's cool, we're all set.
