Final Fantasy XIII-2
The official release of the European version is sheduled for tomorrow, but I got the game this morning already ! Thanks, Amazon! LUV YA! ♥
I spent the last two (?) hours gaming and decided that it was time for a break. The game is paused right now and I listen to ORIGA's song in an endless loop. Again, and again and again... XD~
I haven't progressed far enough to tell my opinion about this game yet, but so far it's nice. After I finished all the books I kept for the semester break even before the break actually started, I was afraid I could get bored! But now I have a new project to work on~
(I need to finish it before I leave for Japan in about two months!)
semester break
Today was my last day of classes at Ruhr-University Bochum for the next... 14 months?! Okay, I'll have to write a paper during semester break and therefore I won't be able to avoid the university completely. (Hello, library! Oh, how much I missed you... NOT.)
Furthermore, I'll have to go to my lecturers for some more bureaucracy stuff concerning my student exchange. But that's oka~y.
Not so nice:
I'm having a stupid headache again. Only last weekend I took painkillers for three days (or rather for three nights, because I can LIVE with a headache, but I can't SLEEP with it) and now it looks like another headache period started. I can't tell what the reason is. Maybe the high pressure area from Siberia that flash-freezes Europe right now works its pressure on my head as well... (~_~) I don't know!
Speaking of the weather...
Everyone is complaining about the cold, but personally I think it's not THAT bad. It's a nice, dry cold. No rain, no slippery black ice, no snow, and the sun was shining all day today (like it did yeaterday and the day before yeaterday, ...!). It's just windy and cold, but that can only bother you when you're not dressed properly! Maybe it's different further east where the temperatures are REALLY low. But as for Germany with -8°, -10°, -12° Celsius it's okay. This is WINTER, guys! What do you expect?!
Lice alarm!
Not me! But my cat. When Nicky started stratching and licking himself furiously I already suspected some uninvited guests. The first thing that came to my mind, of course: fleas. But somehow it was strange, because I had bought him a flea collar a few months ago. I went to buy a new one and hoped it would get better within a few hours, but even after a few days nothing had changed. When he sat on my desk and stratched himself, he left black and white crumbs on that place. (Insect's poop and eggs... EWWW!)
Nicky is a little bit... shy. When it comes to body examinations. He's perfectly fine with stroking and petting his head, neck and back, but no one is allowed to touch his belly or even his ass! I could only take a look at him when he was sleeping and too lazy to defend himself. (Which means that I got away with two stratches on my hand, but at least with an intact face... XD)
Well, I DID see some guests there in the fur around his belly, but those were not fleas. Only once in his life my cat had fleas. (And that was only because he'd lost his collar and his lazy mistress didn't buy a new one soon enough!) A flea's shape is round and compact and the bitch jumps away when you get close to it. The new insects are definitely NOT fleas. They are elongated and they crawl very fast, but can't jump. That would explain why the flea collar didn't work out: It works agains fleas and ticks, but the insects I saw must be lice. Cat lice are rather rare and not every parasite prevention covers those. I bought an expensive insecticide for cats in a drugstore today and hope this will work FAST! My poor baby is suffering long enough already!
I wonder what would've happened if I wasn't at home. The only thing my mum noticed was the high amount of fur bushes Nicky left on the carpet. That he was scratching the fur off furiously and suffered from it didn't even cross her mind! What will the poor cat do when I'm in Japan??? (;__;)
