Summary: Cas can’t help but feel the smallest bit of resentment at the inescapable reaction.
He hates what he’s becoming. Even more than that, he hates the look he imagines on Dean’s face when he finally confronts him about it. Cas can’t imagine anything but the anger, disappointment and betrayal he knows will be conveyed through every moment together after this encounter. There is no alternative, only this. He can’t help but feel the smallest bit of resentment at the inescapable reaction.
