I'm learning to humble myself and learn the relationship side of my faith in our LORD, Jesus Christ. I look around my room and try to speak to You who is holy, and end up staring at posters, my walls, and light shining through my room. It's been hard for me to put all of my knowledge, love, praise, thanks, worship, faith, hope, etc... into a personal conversation between myself and my all-powerful Father and God. I found myself saying or thinking of words that I wanted to say, but haven't fully been able to mean. Then I thought of this:
Say that your parents had died in a car accident and you have come back to visit them at the cemetery on the day of their wedding anniversary. The air is cool and breezy, you are under the shade of a large tree, the sunset is calming and pure. You stare down at the ground and begin to take a big breath and speak with your heart to your parents with a great amount of love. Tears may begin to wet your eyes, and you speak to what seems to be the invisible presence of Christ and of your parents. Ok, I don't know about you, but it seems easier to speak in a person-to-person relationship when you are in this kind of situation. I found myself talking to both God and my Grandma when she died. But, I think this is because I thought that she was alive, but in a different place. Jesus, your Brother and God, had died, but is now risen. Speak to Him, for he is alive. I can't really explain the relationship, but He's there. Treat Him as Your Father and God with Love, reverance, trust, service, thanks, praise, worship, and with your everything, for He is your everything, now and forever. For God is your Father "yesterday, today, and forever."
