I was going to get a tablet but that seems a little out of the question now...
So. I ended up taking my car to Pep Boys this morning because of a sneaking suspicion that it wasn't actually my battery but a battery cable that was the cause of my car's problems. While I was there I went ahead and got my brakes inspected--a light had been flickering on my dash about it and I had a coupon.
From what I understood on the phone from their call just a moment ago, it was actually that my battery needed replacing. The more unfortunate thing was that my brakes (the pads and a couple other parts involving the brakes) needed to be replaced.
All in all, it's going to costs me about 480 dollars. Goodbye tax refund. *sigh*
I still have to buy new tires too. *double sigh*
At least I should have my car back in time for my birthday. Hooray.
