Well, today started off wonderfully. Not counting the jerkoffs that were screaming a few blocks away at one in the morning, my car decided all on it's own that it just didn't want to start this morning.
I mean, I sort of saw this coming but not really. It was just the tiniest big sluggish to start after work yesterday and I made a mental note to keep an eye on it. If it got worse, I would take it to the shop to get it looked at. Little did I know that sluggish would translate into "HAHA SCREW YOU" come this morning. I ended up being about twenty minutes late to work because I had to hitch a ride with a coworker who had to go out of her way to come pick me up.
So this afternoon is going to be spent trucking over to the Checkers down the street (luckily within walking distance if it comes to it) and getting a new battery for my car. I'm hoping that's all it is--it sure is acting like it anyway, and it has been a while since I replaced it.
Does anyone know if Checker will change your car battery for you, if you buy one? I know they recycle your old one, but I don't know if they'll do the labor.
