Because I Feel Like It...
So I added some new friends to my Flist recently, and looking at many of their pages, I decided to do a quick update. However, so as not to bore everyone who has me on their Flist, it's below the cut:
I also wanted to say that I've expanded the information people can view about me, because I realized it's not exactly hard to figure out who I am. And if you know my name it's easy to Google me and all that. It's not like anyone cares about little ole me anyways. :) And if they do...I know lots of big burly men....ok, maybe not so much. I know lots of semi-burly men!

- I was selected as a Student Board Member for an international engineering society's Board of Trustees. This is a big deal for me and also means I'm going to Austin, TX for four days in a week, as well as Pittsburgh in the fall. All of this is on their dollar, so I'm totally cool with it :)
- I got paid today! Hooray!
- I also played volleyball today!
- I realized that I really need to update my resume to reflect my current skill set, since it's grown dramatically since I started working at the Laser Lab. I now know how to operate two types of lasers (one manually, which is not a common skill, evidently), a beam analysis system, an entire acoustic monitoring system, a Redlake High Speed Camera (which is my favorite toy), Matlab, NI's LabView....etc. I'll stop being ridiculous now. Let's just say I need to update.
- I've decided to take a me weekend. And by that, I mean that I think I need some time to myself. I'm the type of person who likes to be alone. Not all the time, but I need some down time. I haven't gotten it lately, so I've been a bit stressed. So I'm gonna take it tomorrow.
- Except for when I've gotta buy that dress. And some travel stuff. Because GEEZ! I'm traveling next weekend! (I hate planes. A lot.)
- I have really gotten into Numb3rs lately. I've watched the show whenever I could, but now I have the whole series and am really coming to see how impressive the show actually is. The emotional development might not be amazing, but the plots are pretty spectacular.
- Em and I have started planned our July 11th Stargate:Atlantis season premiere party. Soooooo excited! I'm going to her house to celebrate and we're going to have fun food and scifi drinks (if we can find good recipes...suggestions?). Yes, we're dorky. Yes, we love it.
