Yesterday was surprising and shocking..

Today was just hilarious and it is not even over!!

Okay.. so i arrive a little late this morning because for some reason traffic was a lot busier than it normally is.. no biggie!

i punch in and john and eric call me over saying they have a question for me..

"Do you know how to catch a bird?"

I replied, "Yeah, use a towel and throw it on the bird. I've done it to catch my sister's bird when it got loose in the hosue a few times."

So.. after we realized we had no towels.. or large pieces of fabric.. and no handy giant nets.. we decided to strip and use our hoodies *jacket in my case*..

as the bird bomb-dived us and slammed into windows several times, it nearly whacked me in the head a few times. It attacked Tejas twice, pooped on the window *inches away from Tejas' head* and attacked 3 patrons. It reclused above one of the ventilation ducts for about 10 minutes so we desparately threw paper wads, and other stuff.. but the duct was too high so we looked like a bunch of idiots tossing objects into the air..

We called Facilities AGAIN! but they said they were on their way.. yeah...

In the mean time.. i made caution signs which you can see HERE!.. changed the "Current Print Turnaround Time: 15 minutes" to "CAUTION: Bird Turnaround 15 minutes, Duck for cover!" we drew some birds looking menacing on there, too. i saw two people take pictures of my flyers *which i posted all over lockwood* and the bird turnaround sign with their phones.. it made me laugh. several people read the sign and smiled, mainly the patrons who were attacked.

so.. after the bird flew around attacking more patrons and bomb-diving both consultant areas it slammed into the doors to the hall way. Bad place for it to get into as it would probably die because of all the people. it whacked one of the doors pretty hard and didn't fly with so much vigor anymore and just sat on one of the guard rails. It made it to the floor and a patron saw it on the ground.. slowly approached it, took off her jacket and managed to catch it.

John took the wrapped bird from her and we escorted the bird and the girl outside with a feel-good reunion with nature. it was great to see the little bird slowly fly away even though it didn't fly too straight or that far.. poor birdie!

today's only Thursday.. what craziness is going to happen tomorrow..?

I get paid today! w00t!

even though there's been so much excitement today.. it's not over yet. I've got class at 3:30...

bleh!

lockwood, silly, birds, craziness, psc, insanity
