It seems the humor they aim for is more "shock value" then funny. The one good thing that may come of this is awareness, and gradual acceptance, as people can see these and realize, hey, theses "jokes" are not actually funny but are, in fact, hurtful.

Then, again, how many people are thoughtful. *shrug*
