Brief update

Not much is going on here, so I think that's why I've been quiet. I've also been having laptop issues, so that's another part. It's acting up again, of course, and after my dad helped me figure out the problem with the computer not recognizing the external hard drive, well, it's not recognizing it again. Which means I can't access music or videos or anything. So I'll probably figure that out this weekend. I'm over a month behind on Daily Show and Colbert, mostly because I've been having problems with iTunes, first with Colbert and now with the Daily Show. I thought they'd be able to fix it easily this time, because it's the same problem that happened 3 weeks ago, but they're still on it.

But I know there's a gluttony of shows waiting for me when everything gets all figured out. In the meantime, I've signed up for the UK's version of Netflix, and I'm on the 3 at a time option this month (the free trial ended beginning of June). I think this is too much for me now that the weather is nice and I'm writing again. I know it sounds silly but those little DVD envelopes make me feel the pressure when they add up. "Watch me, watch me, watch me!" they scream, and I have to squeeze the time in during the week so I don't have to spend all weekend watching them. But yeah. It's nice when it's raining, and it's been raining a lot.

Our new employee has been here for a couple weeks now; she's pretty well trained and I can relax again. I have to fight the urge to just surf the internet all day. I don't mind doing the work when it's there, but when it's not there I don't have the desire to seek it out.

Anyway, I'm working on two Psych scripts and started up an original movie script tentatively called, "A Cynic's Love Story," which I'm hoping will be more comedy than sappy romance, but we'll see.

Still no news on Megan's visa. I've given my one-month's notice at the flat; it'll be nice to move out, hopefully to a flat with Megan (come on, Jesus, approve her visa!). I'm so sick of my housemates (except one). Last night was torture because someone was taking a bath and I really, really, really had to pee. When I finally got into the bathroom, everything was wet. I mean everything. Soaking. I thought the tub flooded for a second. Ahhh. Moving will be nice, though I'm not looking forward to packing and physically moving all the stuff. I'm hoping to slowly pack things and store them at work, and then gradually bring them home.

My allergies have been acting up. I might have to cave in and take some Benadryl, which made me extremely tired and a little loopy last time. But my sneezing/runny nose/sinus headache stopped, so I guess you win some and lose some.

Anyway, it's sunny out and I've been off the clock for a while now, so I'm heading home.

P.S. Yay for Obama!
