New Year's was nice and mellow and perfectly lacking in drama (well, except for the Bears game. Damn Bears).
I love the roller coasters of life. One day all is horrible with the world and you hate everyone, the next morning you're feeling refreshed and energized and kind.
Mom, Eric and I checked out the townhouse today. I think it's the one. I don't know if I'm moving with them, or staying with Grandma for a couple months before I'm out of the country. I'll probably join them after they move in. I don't know. But I don't feel as desperate about it as I did before. It could be fun. Change is good, right?
I packed some stuff, did a load of laundry, and did some running around today. I even applied for a second job! Way to go on my resolutions! I applied to the Starbucks at SuperTarget. Unfortunately, they are hiring at the SuperTarget that is further away from me, but I don't care. I had my two interviews, and I'm supposed to get a call this week. We'll see how that goes. If no luck, I'll email my prof (I finally found his email tonight) about working at the U. Or I'll try the movie rental place and the movie theater.
Also joining the cheap, nearby gym this week. Have already purchased healthful foods and am purging myself of pop for the year. I didn't exercise today, but I already feel... cleaner. Healthier. I think a lof of that also had to do with packing up the Christmas stuff, piling up stuff to donate/sell/throw out, and the appearance of the sun this afternoon.
I have a lot of stuff. Belongings. Junk. Since I'm a writer, I have tons of half-written stories, notes, and poems from the age of six all the way through college. I'm just putting them into boxes that I will sort later (much, much later).
Working all day tomorrow. It was really nice to have a day off today. Hope everyone is enjoying their 2007 thus far.
