They say it's only 85 degrees out, but it must be at least 90 in the Sidekick. And I, for some reason, refused to put the air on. See, it's not bad when you're driving with the windows down, but stupid traffic makes that almost impossible. So I baked a little (the sun was really bad on my sunburned shoulders, but not as bad as the stupid seat belt. Owww).
So Nicole showed up here at 6:45 AM today. Dad let her in, then I stumbled down the stairs. I had to take her to the Round Lake train station so she could go to Chicago to get her passport (it's a long story). But the train didn't come til 10:53 and since her mom worked, she hung out here. We went to breakfast at Hillside, then came home. I went online (I had my contacts in - once they're in, I'm awake) and she slept on my bed for a little. It's going to be weird with her married and in Japan. I think she knows what's she's doing, though. She wants to go, and it's her decision, isn't it? Well, her fiancee's parents paid for the ticket, so it was their decision, too.
Anyway, then I had to go to Ace for water sealer for... wait for it... our new gazebo! That's right - we finally own a part of high society. Except that it's in our backyard overlooking the lovely "Gateway to Grayslake." Ah well. It's right between my tree and the back porch. Dad, Josh, and Mason put it together yesterday.
Other news: I need a job. And there aren't any close ones that are easy on the back and mildly interesting to me. Maybe Six Flags wouldn't be such a bad idea, if only it were closer.
And
Paul McCartney is getting remarried tomorrow. Say it ain't so! I thought the wedding was off...
