Financial Aid Update...2
ok to kind of catch up things, i have been working all week to figure all of this out. the last time i updated, i had just mentioned that i had gotten an extention. well i had talked to the dean about extending it until October 15. i wasn't sure that would give me enough time, but i was hoping it would. anyway, since the financial aid office wouldn't help me, i had to refer to an alternative loan that was outside of the school. i have spent the past week trying to find co-signers for my loan. i had believed my grandfather to be a good candidate, but he was just a little short of the qualifications. i then consulted in my father who i found out on monday didn't qualify. then i had to go to my last resort, my aunt marcie. she called and took the phone application. she was my last hope. if she didn't qualify, then there is no one else who could in my family.
well it turns out that she didn't even qualify for a joint co-signer. so someone suggested that i get a federal loan. despite what i should do, i am not going to make the deadline.
my grandfather offered his credit card and i really didn't want to do that. but things have come down to this. the only way i am going to stay here- at least for a semester- is if i pay out of pocket. guess i have to do what i have to do.
