tubeless is for weinnies
i hate tubeless tires. actually, let me correct that: i hate old tubeless tired that i don't have the repair kit for. i walked out of my house today to find that the rear tire, which i knew was tubeless, was flat. i had thought that i had felt something a little odd last night. it wasn't so low last night as to make it un-rideble, but i had noticed a rather lower feel. today, the tire wouldn't hold air with pressure on it. it held air just fine if i let alone, but if i put pressure on it, there was a slow leak. i'm off to the bike store to get a new tube. turns out that most tubeless systems have a tube capable fall back in case of emergency. though i've read the debate, i'm still inclined to go with my tubed tires. they are easier to fix, and require less stringent handling. i don't do the kind of riding that would make a tubeless system all that wonderful.
