in other news, went to a slovene birthday party last night. it was fun. quite, because the space was rather limited, but entertaining none the less. out of the 9 guests, i was one of three males. this made for interesting conversation. when you have a large group of largely single women, drinking mulled wine, the topic of conversation quickly turned to relationships. this was interesting to me, as i played the part of the psychologist, a part i am rather good at these days, and provided my psychological common sence worth. oh, that, and i'm a guy. and an american guy at that. i provided another interesting point of view. i talked about april a lot. largely because she's awesome and the world needs to know that. but also because she's my current perpetual date, and i miss her a bunch.
the party switched between slovene and english, and even a little croatian here and there. it was interesting, listening to the conversation, as i could pick out words, and sometimes even understand some of them. i'm no where near the level of proficiency to make sentences just yet, but i can say that i'm going to the store. :) 'govim na trgovine' see, i'm learning!
