i'm sorry your head sometimes doesn't cooperate with your body.. i actually happened to be listening to "Oh Comely" while i came upon this entry, and it made me feel this profound connection to you, this immense amount of just identification, empathy, sympathy, sorrow, and hope.

and that lyric you posted interests me, i've never interpreted it as such before.. i had always thought it was "drunk on your automy", automy being a shortened-for-the-sake-of-the-rhyme-and-time version of autonomy.. like, early in that verse there's this immense sense of sexual trapping, and then like jeff's saying that it's all in your memory, you're drunk on your ability to control situations, your independence, when really what you're doing is so far from freedom that it's totally polar and it, well, doesn't mean anything at all.

i dunno. i like your lyric though, it made me think a lot about the song and why it is so amazing, and i thank you for that.

and i hope everything goes better for you, i hope that some sunlight dries away those timed tears on those long stretches of simple-looking complexion..

i wish you could see my face so you could see me smile for you.

but i guess here, this will have to do :)

it's so good to know that feelings pulsate universally throughout the world. and i'm glad we could connect in that brief moment.
i like your lyric, as well. i had never thought about it that way, but i like it. with awareness of universal feeling comes enrichment, indeed. thank you.
take care.
