(no subject)
So, in preparation for Bryon coming over tonight, I bought a pizza & some little bite-sized calzone things to go with it...and when Bryon called me at 11:05, the first thing he asked me was, "What are you doing tomorrow night?" Since I've heard this line before and knew where he was going with it, my response was, "I have a pizza in the oven." He wanted to know if he could come over tomorrow night instead, because he was too tired tonight and has to wake up at 11am tomorrow morning and work 12 hours...and if I could just put everything I'd just made in the refrigerator and save it for tomorrow. I couldn't help but be just SLIGHTLY irritated...he was aware of this...and offered to come over afterall, but I told him that I didn't want to make him feel like he had to, & only wanted him to come if HE wanted to... He offered to take me out to eat or come over & hang out or something tomorrow night, and I asked him if he wouldn't be even more tired after working a 12 hour shift, but he said that it didn't matter, because at least he doesn't have to wake up early Saturday.
It just pisses me off that I spent the time getting everything ready, and he decided not to come over because he was "too tired". If I stopped doing things because I was too tired, I would never get anything done or see anyone, outside of school. Maybe I'm just being insensitive? Oh well...I guess I can handle getting stood up every once in a while.
