utgard-loki and heimdall in one of their usual disagreements, loki taking poetic inspiration, misleading "explanation" of song's meaning to the band, separate recording sessions with both heimdall and utgard-loki singing parts, additional suggestive lyrics and recording by loki, seekrit release of song sans consultation with band over final product and album cover, sudden explosion in the uto-loki/heimdall fandom, comparable explosion within loki^2 when the truth transpired.

those are the main parts, anyway. lesson for the band: never leave things up to loki.

...anyway, at almost 10 minutes long, the song didn't fare very well outside the usual fanbase, even though the radio edit was a more manageable 4:30. it did spawn a host of uto-loki/heimdall fan music videos, though.
