My Kindle e reader should arrive early next week. I'm glad I waited for the Kindle 2 version -the design looks a lot more elegant and user friendly than the first generation. I considered the benefits of the DX version which has a much larger screen, but it didn't seem worth the price, not to mention the size penalty when taking it on trips

That's what my sister got Wade for christmas! He likes it so far I think.

I got him a leather cover to go with it. The little add on light though was sold out at christmas.

I got the leather cover too - I already have a clip on type light I can use.

Maybe someday soon they will come out with a reader with color display.

on KERA they said that the screen uses a proprietary technology that is supposed to be easier on the eyes, instead of a lit screen. a color non-lit screen though would be interesting.
