As a Kingdom Hearts fangirl, I should be ashamed to admit this right now, but: I just finished KH2 (finally), and dude, there are so many little nuances that I missed on youtube.
I just have to put all these fragments down or I'll forget.
- Xemnas and DiZ and their combined guilt-tripping father-son issues. Who feels more guilty? Because they both do. Xemnas had the entire conversation plotted out and it didn't work out.
- How much Sora actually understands. More than anyone realizes. He's ready to forgive at any point, but no one else wants to take him up on it.
- Riku and DiZ's vendetta to clean the slate ("You know what to do.")
- Saix's chamber has motifs of star systems and planets. (And what appears to be a playpen. Of nasty.)
- Xemnas's last words are "Curse you -- curse me." ?? Replay.
- Xehanort apparently is entirely at fault? "...believing it was for the sake of research, stared deep into the darkness and were pulled into it?" Very Nietzsche-esque. Connecting to that: "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster". Terra, Terra, Terra.
- Xemnas's dragon robot shoots Vexen's razor snowflakes?!?!
Radiant Garden has become very heavy on bioluminscence now. Somehow that's connecting with His Dark Materials and Dust (yes, yes, it's all religious metaphor; I don't care) in my brain. Are the sparkles pollen? Magic? Chemical reaction?
I bet it was beautiful when it rained.
Overall, yeah, I cried. :(
