The Olympics are finally over, and Finland's total of three medals (silver and broze in sailing, bronze in track and field) aren't really anything to write home about.

However, Finns being Finns, someone dug up a bit of statistics, and what do you know? We're actually the best in the world!

So if you were wondering what the hell my last post was about: no, I still haven't gotten into anime. The 2010 World Figure Skating Championships were held in Turin last week and Japan's Daisuke Takahashi won the men's singles gold. I'm a fan, in case you couldn't tell.

As I was watching the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, I wondered why I couldn't get into Evan Lysecek's performances. He's amazingly talented, obviously, truly dedicated to his sport and knows his way around the ice like no one else. Yet, he just seemed somehow "off" to me.

My employer seems to be quite serious about keeping us in shape. I don't take part in the weekly floorball or tennis, umm, shifts (?) but these 'sports days' are meant for the whole staff and it would be childish to refuse. Yesterday, we had a "sports day" at work and went curling. After Finland's silver medal in the Turin Olympics, the game became a big hit here.
