I, *significant pause*, got promoted from HR Assistant to HR Advisor today.
My first promotion ever, and they also bumped my salary to a nice round £30k. I started there 2.5 years ago on £24k, so I'm pretty happy with the progress there.
Back when we moved to London in 2011, and I got my first job as Sales Assistant and made £22k, I told N that "when" I was working in the City and making £30k, I'd buy myself a pair of those Louboutin T-strap pumps from Boondock Saints II. Obviously it was a joke, because that was never going to happen.
Now, 4 years later, I'm 3 tube stops to the East from that. Wild.
