So yesterday I almost got hit by a car.

I was walking downtown, crossing Market St. when this Expedition came flying around the corner and slammed on his brakes about 2 feet from where I was standing. What else should you do but freeze?

I've been in that situation as well, crossing the street in front of the hospital and I froze too. And they just barely missed me. The fact is, if he hadn't put on his brakes, there's not much you could have done.

I'm sorry though, that always sucks.

yea, i know there's not much I could have done, but I thought afterwards that I should have kept moving and at least made an effort to get out of the way. oh well, at least i made it out in one conscious piece.

i've learned long ago, with vehicles with high clearence, hit the ground straight, with cars, jump and barrel roll on the hoods

i will remember and practice the barrell roll so that I will be prepared the next time a car decides to try and take me down. ;)

does an Expedition count as a high clearance vehicle?

for me, i think, "is it low enough for me to jump on the hood? or is high enough off the ground that i might just get scraped?" these are the quick questions you have to ask yourself
