a walk down memory lane

Jan 06, 2005 09:36

holy cow, it was 77 yesterday and today it is 37! I walked to work in short sleeves yesterday, and today I am bundled up in sweaters and jackets. crazy louisiana weather.

so, a few more days left before school resumes on Monday, and what do those days hold for me? work and more work. hopefully I will get some time today to make up Mardi Gras party invitations. Mardi Gras is really early this year and the first parade is the last weekend in January! I hope it's warm enough to enjoy being outside. we're setting up on Clyde Fant by Mark's house, so no worries with long lines at gas stations and port-o-potties.

So I've been helping my dad burn old home videos to dvd. last night mom and I watched 6 hours of footage from about 1991 - 1993. I saw all those friends that I never see or talk to anymore except occasionally on IM. we were all doing Skip-it out in the driveway and singing ?!achy breaky heart?! the walk down memory lane evoked a lot of laughter. we watched the plays that my sister and i used to put on, and mom made the comment: "you and shannon got along so well, the Martha came along and it was never the same." Shannon and I died laughing, I guess that's what she gets for waiting 5 years and having another one.

back to work.

weather, mardi gras, family, bowman
