Back at work...

Jan 03, 2005 10:20

so a new year. new year's eve was very exciting. Matt, Susan, Mark, and I all drove down to Baton Rouge to bring the year in right. We went to a big party where I drank the most disgusting beer ever, I think it was called Shinerbach. gross. After playing quarters (which Susan is very good at), I stuck to Strawberry Champagne. At one point during the night, the boys thought it would be fun to pour GASOLINE on the FIREWORKS. Mark, Susan, and I hid in the screened in porch and watched with great amusement.

susan and jessica compete.

mark watches with confusion.

we spent most of new year's day sleeping, actually, all of it. that night we played a rousing round of Cranium, and the girls won with the spelling of vacuum. excellent. we headed back sunday after playing darts. I actually scored a perfect bullseye!

the boys watch Susan and I battle it out in darts.

jess scores with a perfect bullseye while susan looks on jelously.

This week's Lessons
1. go to Cheesecake Bistro anytime you are in Baton Rouge
2. Finished Reading Eats, Shoots and Leaves Now, go join the militant wing of the Association Against Apostrophe Abuse.
3. Gasoline + Fireworks = singed clothing
4. Fireworks + Christmas Tree + Labrodors = Destruction
5. Baton Rouge during and LSU game is crazy (especially when they lose).

I really don't like being back at work. Especially with my boss that speaks like everything is sugar coasted while other coworkers over react and fly around like the world is ending. Speaking of the end of the world, I watch a movie on FX last night called Smallpox. It was done like a documentary of what would happen if a Small Pox epidemic was suddenly unleashed on the world. Apparently is sparked the US to start stockpiling vaccines. It was very creepy and disturbing, but grossly intriguing. It reminded me of Orsen Well's War of the Worlds radio broadcast. interesting.

new years, books, mark, susan, baton rouge
