Other Stuff
Thanks to tommytoony for posting that youtube thing on the 9/11 video. Couldn't agree more with the reporter at the end. It might not have shown the MOST graphic things, but it was a nasty, manipulative thing for the GOP to put on the air, especially since we're all coming up on the anniversary of that horrible day. It's been 6 years, 359 days since then. I can completely understand the pain; although I was lucky not to have known anyone in the buildings, when the pentagon was attacked I cringed in fear of my friend who worked there.
*ahem*
Anyway, other stuff. Ed will be home in the next 24 hours! Emily is doing well out in Washington, and aside from some weird sleeping patterns, I'm ok too.
And, oh yeah, KWAME IS OUT.
Getting a little sick of hearing about it, about his stupid speech where he "blames the white man" for his infidelity, his lying (perjury, whatever they want to call it, it's still lying), and anything else he thinks he can displace the blame for.
In five years, I don't want to hear that he's running for any sort of office again. And I've got the Nerf Bat to back myself up. I don't care what color he is, it's the color of his character that should have been the deciding factor in any office he ran for, and that just doesn't seem to be the case, which grates on my nerves like a cat's claws on a chalkboard.
It makes it seem, to these eyes that have read history if I haven't experienced it myself, that 40 years after the '67 riots it's still boiling down to one thing. And that's more irritating than anything.
I could get into a whole long diatribe about jerks who play the Race Card, and how it annoys me, but I don't need to dredge all that up. Suffice to say, I know some of the greatest human beings ever, and it doesn't matter what color their skin is.
WoW is still fun, if a little frustrating at the moment. I seem to have found myself at something of an impasse with Un'Goro crater, and having just ding'd 54 I'm wondering where else I can go.
6 levels to Outlands, and to getting my epic mount. I'm aiming for a wolf!
