!!!!!! I LOVE the look of this!-
Music and Lyrics trailer Hugh Grant really isn't in enough films. And Drew Barrymore is so dependable...Valentine's Day! Can't wait. :)
And Factory Girl-this is turning into one of those upcoming films posts, I can tell-
"A beautiful, wealthy young party girl drops out of Radcliffe in 1965 and heads to New York to become Holly Golightly. When she meets a hungry young artist named Andy Warhol, he promises to make her the star she always wanted to be. And like a super nova she explodes on the New York scene only to find herself slowly lose grip on reality..."
It's got one of the oddest castings I've ever seen-Sienna Miller, Guy Pearce, and Hayden Christiansen, in a movie together? but just might work.
The Buzz: "A biopic of Warhol muse Edie Sedgwick has been in the pipeline since, well... forever. (Forever being as far back as the late 70s.) At one time, Katie Holmes was cast as the doomed party girl, but then she met this older guy named Tom and, well... you know how that went. Miller was actually cast twice, dropped the first time because she wasn't a big enough name, and then she had this relationship crisis with this hot British guy named Jude and, well... you know how that went. Now a tabloid name, this is Miller's opportunity to prove that she's more than just a pretty face, though the early buzz her performance generated hasn't sustained.
The focus is now on Guy Pearce's Andy Warhol, and how his screen time was upped after the first round of test screenings. And there's also the lawsuit filed on behalf of Bob Dylan, who objects to any reference to him in the movie. Hayden Christensen is playings the Dylan-inspired Billy Quinn; maybe his reportedly woeful performance will help Dylan's case."
Trailer Wonder Woman is apparently Joss Whedon's next big project, which I must admit is a a bit of a let down but with his genius maybe even he can make something out of this plot-
"An Amazon princess comes to the world of Man to become the greatest of the female superheroes. The Amazonian princess-warrior Diana left her lush tropical island to dwell in our urban cityscapes of glass and steel. Tutored in the ways of the Greek warriors, and outfitted with incredible gifts the Goddess bestowed upon her people, she becomes Paradise Island's emissary to civilization."
Sophia Bush of One Tree Hill is rumoured...
And I rather like the look of
Daddy's Little Girls, but then again I'm always a sucker for Cinderella stories...
Oh, right, and let's not forget
Lucky You, the other Barrymore flick also starring Eric Baana, whom I can't make up my mind on, being torn between his likability and his apparent lack of acting skills-but the movie looks fun.
Trailer I went "Ooh!" at
The History Boys, a Brit film which I'm having trouble tracking here in the States but looks magnificent-
trailer"A class of undisciplined, smart and funny history students actively pursue an undergraduate place at Oxford or Cambridge. But the university admissions process is no small challenge, and it‘s uncertain how much help their teachers, each peculiar in their own manner, can actually provide them with! The journey turns out to be as much about the mechanisms at work in education, than about where it can lead"
and not to forget the ever-rising James McAvoy in Starter for Ten, which looks HILARIOUS and James remarkably charming. ;) Trailer is somewhere around
here, took me forever to find it but worth it when I did. Limited release February 16th.
