In case any of you missed it -
Becoming Jane trailer. That film with Anne Hathaway and James McAvoy about Jane Austen. I think Anne Hathaway will do a fairly good job although I think someone else could do better - she's too young and unlike Jane Austen to I think really catch the nuances and depth. And James McAvoy is much much younger than I thought he was - I've never actually seen him in a movie before. Also, I wish I lived in England. Miss Potter is fourth on the charts over there and The Last King of Scotland is fifth, whereas here I think I"ll have to wait for DVD to watch Miss Potter. :( On the other hand, as we just discussed in my last post, we Americans have The Illusionist and The Painted Veil(glory days for our Edward) which apparently they haven't seen hide or hair of in England, at least yet, soo :).
Also, did any of you know that Keira Knightley is to be in another film with James McAvoy, along with Romola Garai of Daniel Deronda?
Atonement And that Ioan Gruffud is to play William Wilburforce with Romola Garai as his wife, also starring Ciarain Hinds?
Amazing Grace Watch the trailer
here Although I just realized that Albert Finney is to play what looks like an extremely fictionalized John Newton, who is one of the Christian preachers I've always most admired. :( Ah well. Ioan Gruffud is always good and we shall have to see what they make of it. Coming out on February 23.
