So, a new community -
ataleof2cities. If you like the book and/or Dickens, join it.
Also, in case any of you missed it on
bbccostumedrama, Masterpiece Theater will be playing Jane Eyre in the last two Sundays of January 2007. Don't miss it, fellow Americans, we won't be getting the DVD for quite some time.

Also, I'm still on semi-hiatus, but slowly returning. I should be off hiatus completely toward the middle/end of next month.

shmarollynn has made two lovely fanmixes here and here, the first a P&P called an An Unexpected Song and the second an Outlander fanmix called Indestructible(*sigh* yet another flist-person who has been madly-squeeing on that series for the past couple of months, and I still haven't read it).

erinelassie posted this list of the 100 or so books BBC recommends you should read- I don't have time to do the whole italicising thing but I've read about a third of them-others I've never even heard of, making notes.
And here is
koalathebear's collection of lovely Veronica-and-Logan icons, check it out, I snagged a bunch.

I read Rebecca, by Daphne du Maurier, lately, and absolutely loved it- it was much like a more ghostly Jane Eyre - my review of it, posted at

Movie which I most want to watch at the moment and cant(Netflix doesn't have it):

Book which I most want to read at the moment but can't(no library so far has it and I can't quite justify spending money to order it):

Synopis:When Kathryn Sinclair answers the ring at her front door, she expects to see dinner guests. Instead she finds herself face-to-face with her supposedly deceased husband. An obsessive journalist who put his job before everything else, Nick Egan was reportedly killed in a terrorist attack five years ago. But there he stands, impressive as ever, ready and waiting to take up life where he left off. Well, Kathryn isn't interested. She's done just fine without him, thank you. And Nick Egan is not getting back into her life. But Nick, and their precocious boys, have other ideas. They're determined to prove to Kate that God has truly changed Nick's heart--no matter what it takes.
I'm not quite sure why I found myself so fascinated with this book ever since I read the outline and first page in the back of another book by this author, but I am. I've been looking for it on and off since then but haven't found it yet.
First page here
And finally, a Torvill and Dean(in case you don't know, the most famous ice skating couple ever) music vid set to Rascall Flatts's What Hurts the Most:

Not fabulous but I like the combination of the song with their relationship.
