I am notorious for forgetting to take my phone off silent and then missing tons of calls for hours and hours and hours.
Today I cleaned out my voicemail, but I wanted to transcribe my most recent message from Sean, after a string of others along the lines of, "Why don't you answer the phone?" Anyone who knows Sean knows that getting this kid riled up is not easy.

Hey, for real! Stop screening my calls! I'm serious about this! This is...this is serious business! (long pause) Call me back, It's Sean, bye.
My favorite part is "this is serious business!" and "It's Sean" right at the end.

I also had a bunch from my mom worried if I was okay or not b/c I called her and lost signal and then didn't answer for a while. The best part is I was just calling her to tell her that Sarah Vowell was doing a piece on people's last words on This American Life on NPR and if she turned it on RIGHT THEN, she could hear it. So of course she finally got through to me as it was ending and I sheepishly was like, "my bad...i'm not dead...i just wanted you to laugh at sarah vowell with me."
Other recent events:
*went to Wise County's sesquecentennial with mom b/c it was her birthday
*interviewed a shirtless guy (link and picture to follow in the future)
*went behind the scenes of a pageant
*Rushed to Ryan's side when his dorm burst into flames
*found a person who collects obituaries of celebrities ... and penguins. And refused to be interviewed or tell me his name.
*Saw Talladega Nights with my dad and laughed from beginning to end. Saw World Trade Center with my mom and cried from beginning to end. Here's hoping that if Sean and I go see Little Miss Sunshine, I will laugh AND cry from beginning to end.
*Inadvertently started a French film festival in my room when I went a little crazy in the foreign section of Netflix and ordered Cache, Masculin Feminin, Breathless, and Belle du Jour. I'll rate them later, maybe. Believe me, some of their frenchiness is even more than I can handle.
