Today is the biannual library used book sale, where you get a grocery bag of books for four dollars, which is just the best day of my life, basically. So are book sales dropping off, or did she feel like throwing a bone to the HP-is-corrupting-our-kids people? Seems like if she wanted this detail to be relevant, it would have been introduced at a time when it was... well, relevant.

Yeah, if it was important, it'd be in the books. In my own opinion, I think it's kind of unnecessary.
