ETA: Also, made 40k today and am nearly done the climax of the book. A few thousand to tie things up and this novel is a wrap.
I'm not doing NaNo next year; I miss the old 500-per-day habit, and think I ought to get back into a more regular, disciplined pattern anyway. But it is a rush to have the thrill of starting, development, surprise twists, lightning-bolt realizations, and a sweet ending all crammed into a couple of weeks.
