The most interesting thing happened. I was playing the sims 2, as a male character, and I make him date a lot. He has been unsuccessfully dating this woman for awhile. Everything seems like it's going great until she throws a fit about something and gets complicated and bitchy. Dating sims is easy as a general rule but this woman is very difficult to appease.
The funny thing is I'm not repelled by the complications. It has the opposite effect. I'm even more motivated to make him impress her.
To me this is a clear case of a search for conquest. In my head conquest is the second runner up behind love. I get seeking conquest.
Problem is, once I overcome her complications and she loves my guy, I'll probably get bored with her and do something like stick her in the pool and then sell the ladder and watch her drown.
I'd rather have my sim guy marry a girl that cooks and cleans so those things would be taken care of and he can just do his guy thing.
