After McCain's involvement with The Keating Five why has the media not jumped all over this news story which not only shows that his campaign manager was accepting "$15,000 a month from the end of 2005 through August" from Freddie Mac (one of the largest lenders in the US and one in the center of this bailout crisis) but also contradicts a previous statement by McCain that Davis ""has had nothing to do with it since [2000], and I'll be glad to have his record examined by anybody who wants to look at it."
From 2000 to the end of 2005, Davis received nearly $2 million as president of the coalition, the Homeownership Alliance, which the companies created to help them oppose new regulations and protect their status as federally chartered companies with implicit government backing, according to the report.
