I should know better than to drink a fairly heavy, sweet drink ("Icewine & Brandy") before a light fruity one (Beaujolais Superieur).

Consider this just one more time that I have learned this lesson.

It's Christmas. What am I doing up this early? Only the gods know.

To make it better, I'm already in to my traditional mimosas.

You're going to see a lot of white wine here. Far and away, that is the bulk of my alcohol consumption. I drink other things, of course, but they aren't normally as interesting as the whites I happen to have open, especially this week it seems. You may think of tequila as the devil's drink, but you are wrong.

Buy some nice tequila (Patron is my fav right now), take a rocks glass, put some ice in it, add your (double) shot, and sip it.
